Because a lion can live from 12 to 15 years in the wild, Adamson believed that Christian ended his days in the Meru National Reserve only a few miles up river. When I was a kid I lived in Somalia. My dad and his friend, Don Hunt, would rescue cubs of lions & cheetahs who had been killed. We would quarantine them in our garage until they could be sent to zoos around the world. Even my pet Greater Kudu, Jameela, was sent to the Chicago zoo when she got too big. I missed her, but could never bear to see her in a zoo. This video brings back fond memories - meeting the Adamsons, helping to save cubs and animals of all sort. I was only 6 years old.
